Dost was founded in 2000 and over the years has developed a model that responds to the needs of children who have arrived in the UK alone, often seeking protection from violence, abuse and persecution in their home countries. We aim to improve the quality of life for refugee and asylum-seeking children and young people, victims of trafficking, undocumented children and those newly arrived to the UK.
How do we do this?
We advocate for the child’s best interests and ensure their voices are heard.
We provide social and emotional well-being support tailored to the needs of each child or young person.
We engage practitioners, policy makers, the media and the public in issues which affect young refugees and migrants in order to bring about positive and lasting changes in policy and practice.
